Ever struggle with the hardships of everyday school work? Whether that be due to math, science, english, or other subjects, every student eventually finds themselves wanting some form of assistance on their work at one point or another.
Often, this is what teachers are for. On specific days, students can stay after school from 2:15 p.m to 2.45 p.m for tutoring from one of their own teachers.
If a student wants a peer to review their work, teach them new material, and guide them through lessons, that’s where student tutoring comes in.
At UHS, students can drop by the media center to receive tutoring on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Although this tutoring session lasts for only an hour, from 2:15 p.m to 3:15 p.m, students can still receive benefits from being able to be tutored by others on schoolwork, especially if they are struggling on certain assignments or subjects.
Alternatively, through the FCPL website, UHS offers a virtual program known as Brainfuse HelpNow. This is an online service, open from 2 p.m to 11 p.m, that allows students to receive live help on their schoolwork from a tutor on the website.
Tutors can assist on homework, assignments, and even test practice, as well as review written assignments on HelpNow’s Writing Lab.
Information about HelpNow can be found here, and the FCPL website can be accessed here.
