Jamour Bwalu, a 10th grader, enjoys math in school, specifically Algebra due to excelling in math from a young age. Being good at this subject made him more comfortable and confident in himself. He is also passionate about basketball and taking care of family members, as well as others outside of his family. His main reason for falling in love with basketball is because when he was younger, he would dribble around the ball with his father and it brings back good memories. His caring nature has made him more social, while still remaining humble. Jamour stays mature in any situation, as he has a naturally quiet and chill being. He plans on being successful as the years go by, by receiving a basketball scholarship for college and still studying advanced technology classes. He prefers technology classes because he plans on becoming an engineer. He receives straight A's throughout his classes, works very hard to get what he desires, and is a critical-thinker. His critical thinking pushes him to think logically as well, which helps with his talents in math and other subjects. He is also in all honors classes as a sophomore. Mixed with four different cultures, he experiences different holidays for the Islamic culture from his parents as well as festivals, dishes, clothing, and language. He speaks English mainly but also Swahili, as his parents speak that at home. Jamour collects shoes, he currently owns over sixty pairs of Jordans, Nikes, Vans, Adidas, Pumas, etc. He has a good fashion sense and he stays caught up with the popular styles.
