UHS every year finds many different ways to come together and celebrate the holiday season in preparation for our school’s winter break. One annual tradition is the Holiday Door Decorating competition!
Teachers across the school compete against one another, having students wrap and decorate their doors for the holiday to see who can grab the most attention and bring the most holiday spirit to Urbana. These doors are usually decorated with colored paper, but students still manage to find ways to make each one unique to the classrooms they represent.
Sophia Costanzo (Class of 2025) was one of the students who helped decorate Mr.Neal’s door this season. Describing the process she said that, “The decorations were inspired by music ensembles and the joy they bring to the season. Such as repurposing fun music sheets into the snowflakes.”
This year the winners of the Holiday Door Decorating were;
Ms. Robinson’s (A125) Classroom Door
Mr.Neal’s (F144) Classroom Door
Mr. Grover’s (A231) Classroom Door
Ms. O’Brien’s (A150) Classroom Door
