In Mrs. Rachel Summers Pre-Vet class, a very popular elective among students interested in animal care, learners jump into the fascinating world of animals. This hands-on course offers students insight into the characteristics and behaviors of a variety of creatures, from chickens all the way to horses.
Students have the exciting opportunity to share their animal companions with the class and express their interest in animal care.
From affectionate dogs to playful cats, and occasionally reptiles, the classroom becomes a menagerie of pets.
Utilizing the classroom’s incubator, Junior Marva Yahya brought in chicken eggs from her home to incubate.
Yahya has engaged her classmates in a hands-on experience, as the class works together to monitor and care for the eggs, that are presumed to hatch in 2-3 weeks.
