November 25 at 7:00 PM, the 2024-2025 members of the National Honors Society were officially inducted and celebrated during a ceremony in the auditorium.
The National Honors Society recognizes high school juniors and seniors who meet high academic standards and community service efforts. It is one of the largest and widely recognized student organizations in the country.
In order to qualify for NHS, students must maintain a 3.5 or higher GPA, participate in multiple voluntary contributions, show good leadership, and demonstrate a good character. These requirements ensure that members uphold the four pillars of the National Honors Society: scholarship, character, leadership, and service.
Many students, including Aleesha Khawaja, are looking forward to the opportunities the National Honors Society will bring and the chance to connect with other peers that also share their dedication for academic excellence.
Tonight’s ceremony welcomed 247 new inductees: 202 juniors and 45 seniors. Congrats Hawks!
