It’s finally Friday, which means that it’s an Urbana game day! Tonight at 6:30 P.M, the Hawks will take on the Patriots from Governor Thomas Johnson High School at Legacy Field. Currently 1-0, Urbana is heading into this game as the reigining champs.
Not only is today any friday night football game, but tonight is a special one. At 6PM, Urbana will be wearing yellow for Ella Bresee.
Just two years ago today, Ella passed away due to brain cancer. Throughout the last 17 months of her life she bravely fought this disease, in which she often conquered. She is greatly missed each day and will forever be remembered in our hearts.
Urbana is wearing yellow to represent the support of childhood cancer awareness. In light of this day, the varsity cheer team wore yellow at school in honor of Ella.
Everyone is encouraged to wear gold and attend the game to honor Ella Bresee.
