As we step into September, excitement fills the air as schools and communities nationwide kickoff Hispanic Heritage Month.
This is a time to honor the rich Hispanic culture and its contributions to society. What is a better way to do this than by reminding you of some ways to participate in this honorable month?
As part of the celebration, the Urbana Latino Festival will take place on Saturday, September 21st, at the Natelli Family Y.
This event brings our community together to celebrate with live music, traditional dancing, cultural artifacts and authentic food. This festival is just one of the many ways people can engage with the traditions that the Hispanic Heritage Month aims to offer.
Throughout the month, we are encouraged to explore, learn, and celebrate the vast contributions of Hispanic culture, whether through festivals, clubs, exhibits or even in everyday conversations.
Hispanic Heritage Month reminds us of the beauty of diversity and the importance of honoring the people and cultures that enrich our world.
