When the school year starts, juniors and seniors have the opportunity to do an in school college visit. The visit is conducted by an administrator from the college or university.
All together, the college visit highlights the information about the school and the experiences a student can expect when they enroll. It allows students to better understand the schools benefits without seeing the actual campus, as the statistics and general information are just as important.
Junior Jana Hamdy said, “We went over information, like what the college would want in an application. Including GPA, test scores, and what you use your outside of school time for.”
On Naviance, a college and career preparation software, students can find a list of the upcoming visits and are able to register to attend. The students at UHS are lucky enough to have the opportunity to sign up for as many visits as they want.
It is important to be educated on the opportunities you can have when you begin your journey to a college degree. A college-visit here at UHS is a great way to get educated on the place you could attend during the next few years of your education.
Be sure to sign up for a visit on Naviance!
