The University of Tennessee, Knoxville visited Urbana High School to influence the students to attend the university and to highlight all they have to offer.
The in-school visit consisted of around 20 total students showing up. The person speaking to the students and representing the school was University of Tennessee alumnus, Jeffery Smith.
Smith spoke to the students about opportunities and expereinces at Tennessee. Along with that, he handed out pamphlets that contain information about the application process, the academics, tuition and the culture at the university.
Urbana already has students applying to the University of Tennessee Knoxville as according to Smith, “We’re eagerly reviewing the 35+ applicants to the university from Urbana students this year”.
