Within the halls of Urbana, posters have been hung to remind students the importance of kindness.
Special Education teacher Ms. Shannon Coggins and Social Studies teacher Mr. Joseph Blaser have teamed up to make Urbana “No Place for Hate“!
“No Place for Hate” is a campaign that has been in FCPS and across the U.S for years. The mission for “No Place for Hate” is to celebrate diversity and spread kindness throughout schools. Coggins says, “We are trying to spread the word that Urbana is no place for hate.”
Tomorrow, “No Place for Hate” will be meeting in the cafeteria to design a banner for all and any students to sign in support of the cause.
Diversity is a huge part of schools and it is SUPER important we celebrate and include all types of people.
