The book tree organized and built by the National English Honor Society opens Urbana’s arms for the holiday season.
With winter break quickly approaching, decorations are sprouting up around the school. The most notable is the English Department’s book tree. This tree is made every year by the National English Honor Society (NEHS).
Jana Hamdy (Class of 2026) a member of NEHS says, “We build new ones every year, the members of NEHS help build the tree.”
Located in the C-wing by Mrs. Donna Ross’ room, the tree is filled with books of many colors and genres, decorated with string lights and lollipops hidden on the tree.
Students across the school are super excited to see the decorations brightening up the hallways. The decorations are a great way to welcome the holiday season.
