Kate Strouse, the Urbana High School athletic trainer, came into the sports medicine class to teach them about her job (athletic training).
The students were able to ask questions and learn even more. The class ended with Strouse teaching the students how to tape an ankle, followed by the class trying it out themselves.
“Thank you to our amazing athletic trainer, Kate, for being our guest speaker in Sports Med class today! We loved hearing about what you do every day and learning how to wrap ankles!” says Mrs. Susan Guglielmini, the sports medicine teacher.
Sports medicine is the magic behind all sports. Sports medicine keep athletes healthy in order to perform their best. It’s with people like Strouse that Urbana athletes are able to be their best.
