Carly Moore is an upcoming journalist here at UHS Hawkeye. She hopes to combine her love of history with her sociable personality and her writing prowess to bring a new perspective to the newspaper. Her favorite subjects have always been history and english at school, with her favorite classes having been American History and World War 2 with Mr. Hontz. In her articles she plans to conduct in-depth interviews and cover the many events that happen across UHS. Outside of school she dedicates her time to helping out at the Young Life youth group and pursuing a part-time job. After school she hopes to pursue a higher education to further study journalism. In addition she plans to continue to help youth by pursuing a degree in elementary education. She currently is applying to Salisbury, The University of West Virginia, and various schools in North and South Carolina. She hopes you enjoy her articles and continue to look for the best in Urbana!
