Patrick Lakie is a senior at Urbana High School. On most days, he can be seen minding his own business, listening to music on his headphones. The reason might be that he pursues a career in sound engineering and has a very diverse music library. He is taking this class as an alternative to creative writing and also wants to expand his vocabulary, which is imperative for someone going into his field. Patrick does not drive yet but does not need to, as he is perfectly content walking everywhere he needs to go. The two colleges Patrick would like to attend are Michigan State and The University of Maryland. His reason for choosing those two specific colleges is that they have great professors who would help further his educational prowess.It's always good to take a step back and focus on the present and  he agrees as when asked the question on a scale of 1-10 how well is your life going right now, he responded, "A 7 because I'm able to take care and see my family every day." As alluded to earlier, Patrick likes all types of music genres, and his taste in music is very diverse. Although, Patrick did respond with, "I'm listening to a lot of jazz right now, however," when asked what type of music do you listen to and why.
