Regina Onjiko is a hardworking student at Urbana High School. She is grateful to live in a nice area that provides a substantial education, although, when asked about a time she was scared, she answered, ¨one time in 6th grade, I was shocked after failing my first math test!¨ Being unprepared for a class you thought you were prepared for is always a little surprising. Luckily Regina has her cousin, Catherine, that she can look up to when she needs an ¨organized, put together, and older role model¨ that she can get inspiration from for her study habits.
Regina is also grateful for her parents who immigrated from Tanzania, which is where Regina would like to go sometime in the future. She plans on meeting family members that she hasn’t gotten the chance to meet yet. In the future, Regina also wants to have written scripts for TV shows and gotten a degree in journalism, which is achievable because she spends most of her time improving herself in ways that are important to her, like completing her classwork, and reading and writing in her free time.
Regina’s advice for those of you who are incoming freshmen is that If you’re taking Pre-Calculus, you need to understand Algebra 2 first, this being because a lot of Pre-Calculus is focused on review. Lastly, Regina’s favorite color is blue, which just so happens to represent inspiration and sincerity! |
