Aleesha Khawaja has been on the varsity tennis team since her freshman year. In addition to tennis, she also participates in track several clubs aligned with her interests, and multiple honors societies. “At first it may be challenging to keep up with all my extracurriculars, but with this sense of community that Urbana brings it has allowed me to grow, excel, and apply the wisdom that the seniors’ have given me when it comes to being a student athlete.” The seniors on her tennis team have impacted her into becoming not only a better athlete but a successful student as well. “The seniors left a lasting impact that has taught me that balance is key.”
