Even though the work they do is some of the most important work, janitors are some of the most underappreciated staff at a school. They mow the grass so that you aren’t walking through 3-foot tall weeds on your way home. They clean the classrooms so you have a clean space to pay attention and learn. They set up the lunch room and then clean it afterward so you aren’t eating in someone else’s crumbs.
