Governor Larry Hogan issues stay-at-home order for Marylanders

On Monday, March 30th, Governor Larry Hogan issued a “stay-at-home” order to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. If this new law is not followed, significant consequences will be enforced, such as up to one year in prison, a fine of $5,000, or both. Hogan has said, “We are no longer asking or suggesting Marylanders to stay home. We are directing them”. Some people still are not understanding the seriousness of this pandemic and are choosing to ignore what government officials and qualified doctors are saying. The only way to get people to listen about staying home and stopping social gatherings is to enforce punishments.
