Get prepared to be scared as UHS Drama begins work on this year’s fall show, Night of the Living Dead Live!
The Night of the Living Dead is THE classic zombie story. The horror parody show is about a group of survivors stuck in an abandoned Pennsylvania barnyard trying to survive against a hoard of the Living dead.
Students and parents came into the auditorium on Saturday at 9 am to begin building and by 5 pm the set was almost entirely complete. They hope to fully complete the set by next Saturday, but in the meantime the real focus will be design.
Chris Oh (12), one of the show’s design managers, explains that in a nod to the original film, “We’re experimenting in black and white for the set, which will look really cool.”
Everything from the set, to costumes, to props, and to makeup will be in black and white for this show. It’ll be a challenge for students, but the end product will definitely be worth it.
This show will be unlike anything ever before seen at Urbana in terms of subject and creativity. So be prepared for UHS Drama’s Season To Die For and stay tuned for Night of the Living Dead!
