Club day is here, and Swing for a Cause is in full SWING…
Taking place in 2nd block club time in the Cafeteria, Swing for a Cause welcomes all. When entering, you can find golf activities, relays, and games. This welcoming environment was introduced by Bella Charoenying and Addison Buckland, in hopes to end the stigma around special education sports.
Today, club members are organizing a bake sale to support Swing for a Cause’ Spring Golf Tournament as well as the Special Olympics. Addison Buckland, Co-founder, describes what they aim to conquer with the bake sale, “Were going to sell baked goods during lunch shifts on December 10th to raise the money.”
The Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Buckland and Charoenying work in hopes to support the Special Olympics as apart of their year round goals, as everyone deserves equal representation in sports.
So prepare your pockets for Dec. 10 and help Swing for a Cause raise funds for the better… one sweet treat at a time.
