Seamus McGee, Reporter
Seamus McGee is a senior at Urbana High School. He is involved in the community through the Urbana Ice Hockey team for which he has played all four years of his high school career. He is also currently holding the position of captain, a leadership position in which he takes pride in. His favorite memory from his senior year so far has been being awarded the position of captain of the hockey team. A core memory from high school for Seamus was during his junior year where the Ice Hockey team defeated Oakdale to win the Monocacy Valley Conference championship.
When not in school, Seamus spends his time playing hockey, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors. Seamus is often away from home during the weekends at hockey tournaments where he plays for the local club team with his friends. Seamus enjoys traveling to the beach to relax and fish and is looking forward to the upcoming year and what exciting new events it will bring. Seamus has not decided which college to attend but hopes to major in some type of engineering related to boats and the ocean and is considering joining the NROTC. When asked about this decision, Seamus explained that “it was the closest thing to being a pirate in our modern world” and how the idea of adventure and travel excited him.
