Hereditary (2018)

Hereditary is a more modern psychological horror film. Meaning that instead of being focussed on blood or gore its more about how it makes the audience feel.

Describing the film Dress explains that, “Hereditary follows the mourning period of this family and they’re mourning the death of their grandma. Ultimately the movie is about the different periods of grief, the different stages of grief but it’s also about family traditions and values and how that can ultimately divide a family and turn people against themselves or against each other

Explaining why she loves the movie she explains that, “The characters are so real. They make bad decisions but in a way that the audience can identify with. Where each one of the characters, they do things because they have a specific motive to do so, but it’s never out of bad intentions. It’s just, it’s very human. And the writing is also really well done.”
