Emily Wlodarczyk, Reporter
As a senior at Urbana High School, Emily Wlodarczyk is reflecting on her time as a high schooler and the different ways this community has impacted her. At UHS, Emily played on the girls soccer team all 4 years, varsity for 2 years, and one of her fondest high school memories was her sophomore soccer season. That year, she was a starter and helped lead her team to almost a perfect season, along with having a close relationship with all of the girls on the team.
Emily is also a part of the National Honors Society where she helps to support and encourage fellow hawks. She is taking this high accomplishment to Frederick Community College where she plans on attending for 1 year before transferring to the University of Maryland. Emily is taking this one year at FCC to figure out what career path she sees herself pursuing.
A way that Emily is involved in the community is attending Mountain View Community Church located in Urbana. She has been going to this church since pre-school. A quote that Emily aspires to live by is John 3:16.
Outside of school it is common to find Emily hanging out with friends or doing something related to her passion- hygiene. Emily says, “I like doing my skin care and being clean.”
Although Emily is faced with some nerves when it comes to finishing her career as a UHS Hawk, she is excited for the college experience that is up ahead.
