What are the top 5 dream car brands at UHS? There are many student drivers at UHS and there has been an effort to understand more about luxury brand desires among students.
The Hawkeye decided to go throughout the school and ask a variety of students of different grade levels about their dream car brands. There was a total of 30 votes and drawings to get an idea of what the most common dream car parent brand was.
5. Koenigsegg
The car brand Koenigsegg is a Swedish car that was launched on August 12, 1994 by Christian von Koenigsegg. It is known for focusing on it’s sustainability, implementing hybrid technology to enhance performance and efficiency.
Koenigsegg is known for being lightweight and fast. The Koenigsegg Agera RS held the title of the worlds fastest production car in 2017 reaching 277.9 mph. They are handmade and made out of carbon fiber.
Troy Stanley said “out of all supercar manufacturers, Koenigsegg is the most sophisticated brand that makes the best looking and preforming cars.”
4. Bayerische Motoren Werke AG
The Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, (BMW) is a German manufacturer that is located in Munich, Germany. BMW is known for owning many luxury car brands such as MINI, Rolls-Royce, and BMW Motorrad.
BMW was founded in 1916 as a manufacturer for aircrafts. They then started to focus on creating luxury cars that blend comfort and performance. It is a company known for being a sports car manufacturer.
Kaitlin Tretler stated “BMW creates nice quality cars that are not too far into the realm of being unaffordable”

Volkswagen was established in 1937 by the German Labour Front under Adolf Hitler, it was revitalized into the global brand it is today after World War II by British Army officer Ivan Hirst.
Volkswagen has been growing by owning top luxury brands such as Volkswagen, ŠKODA, SEAT, CUPRA, Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche and Ducati. This has been a driving factor that has been pushing their global recognition.
Grant Friedland said “Bentley is a good combination of luxury and speed.” He believes that Volkswagen is a good group when it comes to making luxury cars.
