It’s March 14th, celebrated every year as Pi Day. Pi Day is celebrated around the world on 3/14 to represent the first three digits of pi, 3.14. To celebrate Pi Day Urbana High’s National Math Honors Society is holding a Pennies for Patients Fundraiser. NMHS set up boxes for 4 administrators: Dr. Kehne, Ms. McGrath, Ms. Hackett, and Mr. Wolcott. Students could donate to the fundraiser by placing their money in the box of their choice during the lunch shift. At the end of the fundraiser the administrator with the most money was pied in the face. The winner was Dr. Kehne who was pied today on the announcements. All the money collected will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to support cancer patients.
