For all the movie buffs trapped in quarantine looking for new movies to watch, here are some of the highest rated movies from 2019, available on streaming services now!

The Lighthouse (Amazon Prime) – From A24 and Robert Eggers, the visionary director behind 2015’s The Witch, comes a psychological horror movie following two lighthouse keepers in the 1890’s, portrayed by Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe. Watch as they try to maintain sanity living by themselves on a mysterious New England island, with dozens of hypnotic hallucinations along the way.

4. Marriage Story (Netflix) – Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson star as a jaded couple in this Oscar-nominated film by Noah Baumbach, as a stage director and actress who struggle through an intense divorce that leaves them questioning their own personal experiences and affection for each other.

3. The Irishman (Netflix) – From iconic director Martin Scorsese comes a film with groundbreaking visual effects and Oscar-nominated performances. Starring Robert De Niro as Frank Sheeran, the leading hitman and narrator of the film, Al Pacino as Jimmy Hoffa, a powerful union leader involved with organized crime, and Joe Pesci and Russell Bufalino, head of the Bufalino crime family.

2. Portrait of a Lady on Fire (Hulu) – In 1770’s France, an artist named Marianne is commissioned to paint a portrait of a young and reluctant bride-to-be, Héloïse. Marianne must paint her without Héloïse knowing, and observes her day by day, attempting to paint her in secret.

Parasite (Hulu) – From director Bong Jong-ho comes a four-time Oscar-winning comedy and thriller from South Korea satirizing greed and class warfare, as the destitute Kim family gets heavily involved in a relationship with the wealthy Park family. Parasite is a groundbreaking and remarkable film that will surely stand the test of time.

  • A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (Hulu, June 2) – This film follows skeptical investigate journalist Lloyd Vogel, who is given a profile on Mister Rogers, portrayed by the legendary Tom Hanks, as his empathy and kindness leads Vogel to change his cynical outlook on life.
