A People’s Gift – Monologues, Songs, and Speeches

Urbana High School will be presenting its 2nd annual Black History Program on February 13 during second and third block classes in the media center. There will also be a presentation on February 15 (snow date: Feb. 22) at 7pm in the UHS auditorium.
This year the Black History Month Program is named “A People’s Gift – Monologues, Songs and Speeches” with the 15 Urbana students participating in performing a monologue, song or speech. “I think what they are doing is very important work,” stated Marcus Allen, who started the program last school year. To read the rest of this story, pick up a copy of The Hawkeye from the newsstand near the front office or the media center.
