The Hawks are getting ready to take on playoffs. This Saturday, Urbana football will play Tuscarora High School If they win they will continue on with the season, unfortunately if they lose that will conclude the 2024 season.

Senior Deron Odame says, “I hope we keep pushing because I don’t want this to be the last time playing with this team.” The effort and mentality of this season will go far into playoffs and the seniors have done a great job role modeling for underclassmen.

Last week, the boys played our rival Linganore High School. The game was tough; we lost 49-14. But the effort and teamwork stayed throughout the whole game.

Senior David Sossou says, “We plan to put points on the board, and execute on both sides and hopefully move onto the next round. It’s been a roller coaster of a year and not how we’ve expected it to be, but we’re still pushing through and have the mentality of a new season for the playoffs.”

They plan on trying to replicate their success from two years ago and go far into the playoffs and possibly to state championships.
