Students are more than grateful that the first semester is over, not to mention exhausted. After five months of hard work, studying, and cramming in the final stretch, UHS students have officially survived the first semester. This means we are halfway through the school year, with summer almost in sight.
Deron Odame, senior at UHS and dual sport athlete, accurately represents how I think all students are feeling during this time: relieved but tired.
“I worked so hard this semester to get the grades I want, and now that it’s over I need a nap.” Odame expresses, which I’m sure many students can relate to. Odame was a part of the UHS football team earlier in the year, and as much as he enjoyed it, he is happy to no longer have to balance his academics, social life, and sports.
