“Being a part of the Urbana High School varsity poms team for the past three years has been an incredible experience for me. Dance is one of my biggest passions, and being able to perform with this amazing group of people has not only allowed me to improve as a dancer but also a person. I’ve had some really memorable moments with my teammates, and I enjoy the time we get to spend together whether it’s at a game, during practice, or in my free time. Outside of dance, I also really love Unified PE class at UHS. Watching my peers in this class grow and build confidence every day is something that genuinely inspires me. This class is so supportive and I look forward to it on a daily basis. The positivity that everyone shares makes it such a rewarding experience, and I feel so blessed to be part of it. Dance, my friends, and the great people I’ve met have really impacted my high school years so far, and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
