Teen Writing Club: Photo of the Day 10/22/19

Yesterday at the Urbana Library, the Teen Writing Club welcomed students from grades 6-12 to discuss writing activities. Writers got to plan for an upcoming “zine”, a magazine containing poems, short stories, and various types of art. They also learned about National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, a project that challenges participants to write a 50,000 word piece within the month of November. During the second half of the meeting, students were able to take part in a collaborative brainstorming activity, which boosted writing skills, but also happened to be a lot of fun!

The Teen Writing Club meets again at the library on November 18th from 4-5 PM.
