Good Morning, Urbana. Today is Wednesday April 6th.

FCC is offering scholarship money to students planning to attend FCC full time in the fall. The following scholarships are The Routzahn Family Business Scholarship and The Frederick Singles Scholarship.  Interested students should see their counselor or Mrs. Wood in the guidance office.

Are you looking for a summer internship?  If you are over 16 and have an 3.0 or over, consider applying for the 2016 Minority Educational Institution Student Partnership Program with the U.S. Department of Energy and its National Laboratories.  Internships are in in a variety of fields like Engineering, Sciences, Social Sciences, and Business.  Interested students need to apply by ASAP as they will begin making selections in the middle of April.  To find out more information see Mrs. DeWaal.

Interested in performing in the Dance for Change recital on Thursday April 21st? Auditions will be held on Wednesday April 13th after school.  Talk to Mrs. Weigelt in room F116 to sign up or if you have any questions.

Today is the last contestant for the Rho Kappa competition to see who would make the best George Washington, Mr. Chavez.

Attention all AP US students who are planning on taking the AP exam in May. After school review sessions for the exam are being held Mr. Crosby’s room, B217, 2 to 3 times a week. The sessions will last from 2:20 to 3:00.  See Mr. Crosby with any questions!

CHLI Global Leaders Internship Program is a 15 week paid internship in Washington, DC.  Interested students should see their counselor for more information. The application deadline is this Friday April 8th.

Seniors: If you wish to give a speech at graduation, you must give Ms. Weigelt a copy of your speech by this Friday, April 8th. Auditions are after school on April 12th. Any senior who wishes to try out to sing the National Anthem, should sign up outside Ms. Weigelt’s  room  F116 and come to the audition on April 12th as well.  Auditions will be held in the auditorium after school beginning at 2:30
