Good Morning, Urbana. Today is Wednesday April 13th.

Interested in becoming an officer for the UHS Future Farmers of America?  Represent your school and community by leading a chapter of more than 80 members.  Pick up an application from Mrs. Mayne’s room in C108-they are due on Friday April 29th and interviews are afterschool on May 3rd.

Interested in Performing in the Dance for Change recital on Thursday April 21st? Auditions will be held today after school.  Talk to Mrs. Weigelt in room F116 to sign up or if you have any questions.

Speaking of Dance for change-here’s more about the dance!

Mini-Thon Is rapidly approaching, and we are proud to announce a brand new Fundraiser; the “Save or Shave” Fundrazor. Over the next two weeks, 24 boys will be “canning” in the halls of Urbana High School, collecting money in hopes of saving their hair.  The one that raises the least will end up having his head shaved.  If there is a specific individual you would like to see with his head shaved, make sure you vote for other individuals.  This fundraiser will last for two weeks – so make sure you show your support.

The Alliance of Latin American Students is bringing back the Discoteca Latina; a night of Latin Dance and refreshments. The World Language Departments of Urbana and Oakdale High School and the Multicultural Club are all working together to promote this event. The dance will be held on Thursday, April 28th in the Urbana High School Cafeteria from 7:00 until 9:30. We will have the salsa band Inter Loop and a DJ playing a combination of Latin music. Come prepared to dance and have fun. Student tickets are $5.00 and will be sold in the cafeteria during all lunch shifts. Tickets are also being sold in all Spanish classes. Come join us for a night of fun. Any questions see Mr. Kavanaugh in room B 219.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.
