Fall at Urbana High School is more than just changing leaves and sweater weather. It’s a season packed with school spirit, tradition, and community fun. Here are the top five must-do activities this fall according to our students and staff.
- Friday Night Football Games
This one comes as no surprise. From the stadium lights to the themed outfits and school spirit, nothing screams fall like a Friday night football game. Whether you’re cheering in the student section or just there for the vibes, it’s a favorite way to kick off the weekend. - Pumpkin Picking
A true fall classic. Many students say they love heading to a pumpkin patch with friends or family. A great option near us is Gaver Farm in Mt. Airy. It’s not only a fun seasonal outing, but it also makes for the perfect photo op or even a creative date idea. - Pumpkin Carving
Once you’ve picked your pumpkin, carving it is a must. Students enjoy getting creative with their designs and making a fun, but memorable, mess in the process. - Pumpkin Flavors & Scents
Pumpkin spice everything! From lattes to muffins to candles, Urbana students are all about the cozy flavors and scents of the season. - Halloween Festivities
Last but not least, Halloween is a fan favorite. That crisp air gives the nostalgia you can only get one day a year. Transforming yourself into a favorite athlete, animal, character, there are endless options for costumes. Getting to dress up, hang out with friends, and of course, eat unreasonable amounts of candy. What’s not to love?
Fall is short, but at Urbana, it’s packed with fun and unforgettable memories.
