Interested in becoming an officer for the UHS Future Farmers of America?  Represent your school and community by leading a chapter of more than 80 members.  Pick up an application from Mrs. Mayne’s room in C108-they are due on Friday April 29th and interviews are afterschool on May 3rd.

NHS is sponsoring a hygiene drive this week and next week. Please bring in soap, conditioner, shampoo and other things to your first block class. The class with the most donations will win donuts for their class.

Mini-THON is selling luminary bags at all lunch shifts this week! Honor a friend, family member, or loved one who  had cancer by writing a message on the bag, and they will be lit by a candle that will be presented at the Luminary Ceremonial Walk during Mini-THON!

Seniors it’s that time! Get your senior Wills outside the Hawkeye office, on Twitter @uhsjournalism, or at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>. They are due by April 29th! Leave your underclassmen friends something good!

The NEHS and the English Lab will be offering ACCUPLACER review sessions in the library. The sessions will cover tips and practice tests for the following sections: Wednesday April 20th for writing, Friday April 22nd for reading and Monday April 25 for Language Usage.

Attention Ms. Svincek’s fall semester students taking the AP Language and Composition Exam: Review sessions will be held after school from 2:20 to 3:15 on each of the following days: April 21, April 27, May 3, and May 9th. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Svincek.

The Alliance of Latin American Students is bringing back the Discoteca Latina. The dance will be held next Thursday, April 28th in the UHS Cafeteria from 7:00 until 9:30.  Student tickets are $5.00 and will be sold in the cafeteria during all lunch shifts. Tickets are also being sold in all Spanish classes. Come join us for a night of fun. Any questions see Mr. Kavanaugh in room B219.
