Indoor track is back in full swing, and the Hawks are already topping the charts.
Today, both girls and boys track attended an indoor meet in Hagerstown. Despite the torrential downpour throughout the whole day, everyone got there safe and sound, ready to win.
The first HCC JV Developmental Meet was crowded, as Urbana was accompanied by 9 other teams, including– Frederick, Brunswick, Thomas Johnson, and other local schools such as Oakdale.
On fire, some of our Hawks showed just how fast a person can be. Honorable mentions from the meet include Alex Verdi with a 2:25 in the 800 meter, Abhiram Tammana with a 5:08 mile, and Ryan O’Rear with 33 feet 10.5 inches in the shot put. With many more meets to come, they’re only getting started.
