Broadway Backwards is a winter cabaret event put on by the International Thespian Society (ITS) Board annually. The event has been going on since before the Pandemic, with even the director Mr. Stephen Ward losing track of how many times they have put on the production.
Last year, due to some technical difficulties, Broadway Backwards was replaced by Best of Broadway to many students disappointment. One of the main goals of the ITS board this year was to return the event, and they have more than succeeded. With this year’s Broadway Backwards looks to be one of the most eventful yet.
ITS President Christopher Brookes, Class of 2025, describes the event as, “A fun night of cabaret fun and unusual performances. The performances being ones that the performers would not normally do.”
Some of the acts to look forward to are songs from Wicked, Dear Evan Hansen, Mary Poppins, Trolls, and many more musicals. With 17 unique performances full of heart, passion, and practice, it will be a fun event people won’t want to miss.
The performers just finished their last rehearsal for the show on Dec. 3. The final performance being this Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. Tickets will be $5 at the door.
