Umaiza Syed, Reporter

Senior Umaiza Syed, at Urbana High School, joined journalism to practice non-fiction writing. She has a Siberian cat and her favorite color is dark blue. Her favorite hobbies are reading, writing, and practicing cursive. She likes to read Harry Potter and watch Spiderman.

Her favorite subject is science, and she wants to write about opinions, news, and photography. She would also like to cover public opinions and discuss problems that exist outside of school.
