Bambi produced by Disney, directed by David Hand.

Thanksgiving break is slowly but surely approaching as it eases us into a chilly December. While you’re browsing for what to watch, consider taking a trip down memory lane with nostalgic old Walt Disney. Bambi is a comforting 2D-style animation that manages to capture the beauty of the forest through thunder, sunshine, and all four seasons. From the start of Bambi’s birth, he is surrounded by animals of the forest, all awaiting the prince of the forest to start walking and talking around with them. Follow Bambi, his bunny friend Thumper, and his skunk friend Flower as they embark through the loss of his mother and learn what it means to become King of the Forest. Navigating through loneliness and struggling for survival through the sweet but bitter sentiment of growing up.
Many of us know and love Bambi but few of us have actually watched it. It’s a slow movie, focusing more on the journey and elegance of the animation rather than the plot, but regardless, it’s perfect to watch with a cup of tea and a sweet treat.
