Dunja Senic is a 16 year old junior at Urbana High School. Her favorite class this year has been SAT prep. She says it is because she had a good teacher and was able to have lots of interactions with her classmates and friends. She also said that the highlight of her junior year has been football season. She was able to cheer on varsity and had lots of fun on game days with her teammates and friends. Outside of school she enjoys cheering and she is also in SGA. “I like to be really involved in our community,” said Dunja when asked why she enjoyed these activities. Dunja’s most memorable moment in the past 2.5 years was her trip to Turkey. “I was able to see and learn about lots of new cultures and they have really good food” she said. Her favorite place to vacation is Colorado. She loves that she gets to ski there and see all the beautiful mountains. Since Dunja is now a wise Junior as well as a rising senior, she had lots of advice to give to incoming freshman. Her biggest pieces of advice would be to stay on top of work, and have good time management. When she isn’t cheering, at school, or with her friends you may be able to find her eating mac and cheese, even though she happens to be lactose intolerant.
