Lillian Finnen, Reporter
Lillian Finnen is a sophomore at Urbana High School who prefers her watermelon with salt, and her pizza with a side of ranch. You can find Lilli strolling the school between her classes which consist of algebra 2, journalism, biology, and English. Of these classes though, she has grown an interest in journalism and has marked it down as her favorite class out of all four. She cannot live without her Birkenstocks, eyelash curler, and Aquaphor.
After school, she loves to bake, shop, and hang out with friends. Her most popular baking dishes are cupcakes but especially her sprinkle cupcakes and chocolate cupcakes. Though, if she was on death row… her last meal would be a root beer, old bay wings, mac and cheese, and a Ben and Jerry's half baked ice cream.
One thing that Lilli is extremely passionate about is why oranges are the best fruit. She says that they 100% have the best flavor, they’re her favorite color, it's a scientific fact they make you happier, and they bring a smile to your face. A person who will always bring a smile to her face though is her role model, her dad. Lillis' dad has a similar job to what Lilli wants to do in the future which inspires Lilli to keep working to reach her goals. He is a really good person and fun to be around, they both share the interest of running.
When asked what Lilli would buy if she won the mega millions right now, she said she would buy a Kia Soul then immediately going to get it wrapped sparkly pink. But when asked if she believes money buys happiness, she said, “No. it can't make you happy but it can make you happier”.
