Mrs. Chubb is in the process of creating an after-school club for high school students at UHS. The club is for students who want to learn and develop essential skills for their future career pathways, whether it’s college, the workforce, the military, trade schools, or a gap year. These life skills will help students succeed in whatever path they choose. Further included are chances to listen to guest speakers from different fields of work.
The club will take place around twice a month, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on days that are to be determined. Make sure you’re in the Career Coach Schoology group! Mrs. Chubb is very open to hearing what you want to see in this club! Please take time to complete the Google Form regarding your interests and desires.
Examples of the after-school club activities:
- Practicing building resumes/networking
- Exploring different career pathways through hands-on activities and listening to guest speakers
- Working on your articulation skills/effective communication
- Setting short-term and long-term goals for yourself
- Finding your personal brand

- Workshops that offer service-hour opportunities
