Jazmin Colon, Fine Arts and Student Life Editor
Jazmin Colon is part of The Hawkeye team as the Fine Arts and Student Life editor this year. Colon, a sophomore, began attending Urbana High last year as a Pre-IB student. Her favorite subject is theater, and her favorite activity is watching Disney movies, especially Aladdin. She enjoys spending her weekends eating burgers while watching her favorite comedian Gabriel Iglesias. She is also a member of the Urbana Step Team and considers them family. Colon is looking forward to writing about student life at UHS as well as starting her IB diploma next year. “I am excited to take IB Spanish to learn more about the Spanish culture and language,” said Colon. She is working toward her goal of becoming a foreign language professor. “I hope to teach American Sign Language. I have fallen in love with this language and hope to teach others to fall in love with this language as well.”
