Sydney Kozminski, Yearbook Staff

Sydney Kozminski is a junior at Urbana High School and a member of the class of 2021 who has just recently moved here. She has two siblings, a nineteen year old brother who is older than her and a thirteen year old sister who is younger than her. Since she just recently moved into a new high school, she looks forward to making new friends this year and eventually graduating. As far as her interests go, she likes her English classes, enjoys driving a lot, and has a strong passion for animals. She has two pet dogs at home: a Great Dane and a chocolate lab. She also has two cats, four rats, and a banana ball python. A recent and notable achievement of hers was passing the learner’s permit test earlier this year in January and receiving her learner’s permit, and she plans on getting her license in October. As far as goals for the future, she plans to go to college, get a degree, and get a career somewhere in the medical field. As a matter of fact, she plans on becoming a nurse in the future after college. Coming into a new high school was also a pretty big achievement for her. She describes herself as shy, nice, and quiet, and she looks up to her mom a lot. Kozminski describes her mom as a good role model for her who has always been there for her, and supports her by telling her everything is alright. She also says that ever since she entered high school she has learned how to be more independent in life, and less dependent on other people. She has also gotten more focused in school and puts a lot more effort into getting good grades in her classes.
