“What is Mini-THON and what do you expect from it?”

“Mini-THON in the bulk of it is a fundraiser where/in which we raise money and awareness for children in pediatric cancer. It’s when all the money we raised goes to research to cure cancer, and as well as to support families who have children with that disease.”

“Is there a competition going on?”

“As of right now yes, yes, it’s called Mini-THON [Save or Shave] fundraiser in which about twenty guys are selected by the Board Committee and they are selected to participate in a competition in which whoever raises the least amount of money has to get their head shaved by April 22nd. So far it’s pretty crazy right now, everyone is raising as much money as possible but overall it’s all for the kids and it’s a really great time.”

“How much do you expect to raise for both you and Mini-THON?”

“Well as of right now, I’m at $150 or so, but I hope to get over $300. Meanwhile, our goal for Mini-THON itself is $25,000. Hopefully we will get it by then but I believe with everyone’s participation in Urbana High School, it will definitely lead up to that.”
